Great Australian Bake Off precinct to go live at Good Food & Wine Show Christmas 2026

The Good Food & Wine Show is bringing a Great Australian Bake Off precinct to its Christmas editions in Sydney and Melbourne this year, in a world-first partnership with BBC Studios. The multi-year deal marks a significant evolution for the Good Food & Wine Show, named Australia’s Best Consumer Show for 2025, positioning it at the forefront of large-scale premium food experiences. The Great Australian Bake Off Precinct will anchor the 2026 Christmas Editions as a premium multi-zone destination designed to immerse audiences of all ages in the creativity and craft of baking. Samantha Potts, Show Manager at the Good Food & Wine Show, said, “We are thrilled to partner with BBC Studios to bring ‘The Great Australian Bake Off’ to life as the centrepiece of our Christmas Editions. This collaboration represents a major step forward for the Good Food & Wine Show, allowing us to deliver a truly immersive, world-first experience that elevates the event for consumers, sponsors and exhibitors. “By anchoring our Christmas Editions around such a powerful and much-loved brand, we are creating a compelling new platform for partners to connect with highly engaged audiences during the most important trading period of the year.” The precinct will feature: GABO Live Stage: Masterclasses and demonstrations from Bake Off talent and Good Food & Wine personalities. Interactive Kids Zone: Hands-on experiences tailored for families. GABO Café: A curated offering of baked goods inspired by the show. Bake Challenge Arena: Participatory competitions capturing the spirit of Bake Off. Bakers Village: A dedicated exhibition space for baking-focused brands and producers. Retail & Licensing: Official GABO merchandise and licensed products. Only limited stands will be available for brands to exhibit within the precinct. The partnership arrives as The Great Australian Bake Off continues to build momentum, with Season 9 set to return to BINGE and Foxtel in 2026. The show recently won the 2026 AACTA Award for Best Reality Program and the SPA Award for Reality Series Production of the Year. Kylie Washington, EVP & Creative Director, Global Productions, BBC Studios ANZ, said, “‘The Great Australian Bake Off’ is one of our most loved shows, and this partnership marks an exciting new chapter in its evolution. This innovative concept is a world first for the brand – transforming Bake Off into a fully immersive, live experience that allows audiences to engage with it in an entirely new way. “In partnering with the Good Food & Wine Show, we have found the ideal platform to deliver this at scale and create a premium destination for fans, brands and partners alike.” Tickets for the Good Food & Wine Show Christmas Editions will go on sale in August, with further announcements to follow on featured GABO talent, programming and exclusive experiences.
