Grill’d will open its first drive-thru restaurant in Western Australia on December 13, bringing the homegrown burger brand’s fast casual format to Wanneroo.
To mark the opening, the first 754 customers are set to receive a free burger, a reference to the address of Grill’d’s original Hawthorn restaurant, which opened 21 years ago. Relish loyalty members will also be able to access $10 burgers across the entire opening weekend.
The new Wanneroo site will become Grill’d’s fourth drive176th restaurant location, its fourth drive-thru and its 29th venue in Western Australia. The format is positioned as a quicker way to access the menu while keeping a focus on fresh ingredients and the same style of service offered in the brand’s dine-in restaurants.
Simon Crowe, Founder and Managing Director at Grill’d, said the launch of the first WA drive-thru is an important milestone as the brand works toward its goal of 300 restaurants nationally by 2029. “We’re committed to giving Australians easier access to fresh, healthy burgers made with premium local ingredients, and now WA locals can enjoy that experience with the added convenience of a Drive Thru.”
Aimee Edwards, Regional General Manager WA, said Wanneroo is an ideal location for the first WA drive-thru. “Along with giving locals convenient access to their favourite burgers, this new restaurant will also bring real benefits to the area by creating 50 local jobs.”
She added that the venue will continue the brand’s community focus. “Like every Grill’d restaurant, Wanneroo will have its own Local Matters program, supporting local sporting clubs, charities and community groups every month. We’re supporting Wanneroo Bush Fire Brigade and Twelve Tone Music Academy in the first month, to contribute to initiatives that make a meaningful impact on the community.”
The full Grill’d menu will be available through the drive-thru with more than 40 burgers, snacks and sides made to order.
The restaurant opens at 9 Herdsman Lane on December 13 from 10 am to 11 pm.
