Grill’d has launched a High Performance range for the growing number of Australians training, recovering and thinking harder about what they eat.
At least half a million Australians are currently taking weight-loss drugs while the whey protein market is projected to reach almost $350 million by 2034. Grill’d, which has been making healthier burgers with high-protein, low-sugar credentials for more than two decades, is now drawing attention to its positioning with a dedicated performance range.
The new additions to the menu include:
Protein Pro – 81g protein: Double grilled RSPCA Certified chicken breast, crispy bacon, tasty cheese, cos lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion, avocado, relish and herbed mayo.
Cluck Norris – 79.9g protein: Double grilled RSPCA Certified chicken breast, tasty cheese, cos lettuce, shredded carrot, Spanish onion, native Davidson plum barbeque sauce and sweet chilli mayo.
Big Dill Energy – 55.7g protein: Double beef patty, free-range egg, dill pickles, cos lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion, relish and dijon mustard.
Three existing fan favourites, the Sweet Chilli Chicken, Zen Hen and Hot Bird, are also getting a spotlight for their 13+ vitamins and minerals, high protein, low saturated fat and low sugar credentials.
Two new ‘perfect sized’ sliders, Tender Lovin’ and Lil’ Caesar, also join the rotation as a smaller, nutrient-dense option for shifting appetites that doesn’t cut corners on nutrition.
Simon Crowe, Founder of Grill’d, said, “Health and nutrition, without compromising on taste, has always been part of our DNA; it’s why we started Grill’d in the first place.
“As the health landscape keeps changing, we wanted to showcase what we’re known for with a range backed by genuine performance benefits relative to how our customers actually live, train and eat. This new menu is specifically designed to help people meet their own health and performance goals.”
The range has been backed by leading sports nutritionists including experts from the Melbourne Storm performance nutrition team, and every burger across the broader Grill’d menu carries the same high-protein, low-sugar credentials, with naturally sourced electrolytes and buns built for functional benefits including high fibre, low GI and zero refined sugar.
Georgia Walker, Dietitian at Melbourne Storm, said, “As a professional sporting club, protein quality and timing are things we take seriously with our players.
“It’s great to see a brand like Grill’d making high protein, low sugar performance focused food more accessible for everyday Australians training and recovering, not just elite athletes.”
The High Performance range is available now at Grill’d restaurants nationwide.
