As the Australian Open returns to Melbourne, several city venues are hosting Australian Open-themed takeovers throughout January, offering fans a way to tap into the tournament atmosphere without a ticket to the tennis.
Across the month, three Melbourne venues are running distinct Australian Open experiences, each with a different focus, from rooftop wine sessions to high-energy sports bars and cocktail-led evenings.
Duke of Wellington x Jacob’s Creek
Until February 1 2026
146 Flinders Street, Melbourne
The Duke of Wellington rooftop has been reworked for Australian Open season in partnership with Jacob’s Creek, creating a wine-led space designed for summer afternoons and post-match catch-ups.
The rooftop and ground floor feature floral installations, branded details and spaces designed for lingering over a glass of the Australian Open’s official wine.
The setup is aimed at long lunches and relaxed daytime sessions, offering a quieter alternative to the crowds while still sitting firmly within the wider Australian Open atmosphere.
Hickens Hotel x Canadian Club
Until February 1 2026
127 Russell Street, Melbourne
Hickens Hotel has taken a more high-energy approach, with a Canadian Club takeover across its rooftop and sports bar throughout the tournament period.
The venue is set up for all-day match viewing, with live screenings, Canadian Club beer towers, a dedicated drinks menu and tennis-themed installations.
A key drawcard is $10 Canadian Club schooners, available exclusively through The Pass. The space is geared towards group catch-ups, after-work drinks and extended match viewing, with the atmosphere carrying through from daytime sessions into the evening.
Morris House x Grey Goose Tennis Club
Until February 1 2026
120 Exhibition Street, Melbourne
Morris House has been transformed into the Grey Goose Tennis Club, offering a more polished Australian Open experience centred on cocktails and presentation.
The venue features a curated Grey Goose martini menu inspired by the Australian Open’s Courtside Bar, alongside caviar pairings and tennis-themed installations throughout the space.
The featured cocktail for January is the Grey Goose Lemon Ace, made with Grey Goose Vodka, French sparkling lemonade, passionfruit syrup and mint, priced at $17 and available exclusively through The Pass.
With interactive elements, prizes and custom Grey Goose Tennis Club uniforms, Morris House shifts from an afternoon destination into an evening venue as the tournament progresses.
