Baileys new white choc raspberry flavour gives summer desserts a run for their money

White chocolate and raspberry is one of those dessert combinations that rarely needs much convincing, and Baileys is bringing it to the drinks cabinet for summer. The new Baileys White Chocolate Flavour with Raspberry blends Baileys Original Irish Cream with white chocolate flavour and raspberry, keeping the familiar creaminess but finishing with a brighter, tart fruit note. It follows last year’s Cinnamon Scroll release and Baileys Chocolate, which started as a limited flavour before becoming a permanent part of the range. “We’re so excited to introduce this year’s limited-edition flavour, building on the success of previous launches, including last year’s Cinnamon Scroll and the now-permanent Chocolate offering,” said Sarah Shimmons, Brand and Category Director at Diageo Australia. “White Chocolate flavour with Raspberry brings together a much-loved dessert pairing that’s trending across categories, beyond liqueurs. Blended with our signature creamy Irish Cream, it’s an indulgent twist on a classic combination that we know consumers will love.” Baileys suggests pouring the 17% ABV drink over ice, drizzled over ice cream or worked into a cocktail, making it an easy addition to summer entertaining, Christmas gatherings or the kind of night when dessert comes straight from the freezer. White chocolate and raspberry have long been a staple combination in cakes, chocolates, ice creams and other sweets, giving Baileys a familiar flavour pairing to work with rather than something completely left-field. “With the festive season just around the corner, we’re excited to offer Australians a new way to indulge, whether they’re treating themselves, gifting a Baileys lover or introducing something memorable to the table for friends and family,” Shimmons added. Baileys remains Australia’s No.1 cream liqueur brand*, and the new bottle will arrive in time for the festive gifting and entertaining rush. A national marketing and in-store POS campaign will support the launch, with retailers also being encouraged to position it as a premium seasonal option. Baileys White Chocolate Flavour with Raspberry will roll out nationally from October 2026 in a 700ml bottle for RRP $49 at all major retailers. Youfoodz packages winning recipe from The Block

Youfoodz has turned a winning dish from The Block into a limited-edition ready meal, bringing Lisa and Rosco’s Meatballs & Chorizo Pasta from the show straight into fridges around the country. The couple are competing on the 2026 season of The Block, where contestants usually spend their days racing through room reveals, renovation deadlines and life on site. During a special Youfoodz cooking challenge, however, the power tools were swapped for pots and pans as celebrity chef Shane Delia tasked the teams with creating a meal worthy of the Youfoodz range. Lisa and Rosco came out on top with a hearty pasta made with tender beef meatballs, smoky chorizo, parmesan and fusilli coated in a rich tomato and capsicum ragù. “Lando’s Meatballs & Chorizo Pasta is a really special one for us. It was inspired by our family, our son Lando, and the kind of hearty meal we loved enjoying after a real day on the tools,” said Lisa and Rosco. “We had so much fun creating it for the Youfoodz challenge, so to now see it brought to life as a real Youfoodz meal is pretty surreal. We’re absolutely stoked that people around Australia can give it a try and get a little taste of our family and our time on The Block.” Lando’s Meatballs & Chorizo Pasta The dish is named after the couple’s son Lando and was created while Lisa and Rosco were expecting their second child, giving the winning meal a family connection that goes well beyond the challenge itself. The Youfoodz version keeps all the comfort-food bits that helped it win: juicy beef meatballs, smoky chorizo, parmesan and twists of fusilli, all coated in that rich tomato and capsicum ragù. Each serve also packs 40g of protein. “Cooking under pressure is a bit like building on The Block – you’ve got a clock ticking, plenty of opinions flying around and you need to pull everything together when it counts,” said Shane Delia, celebrity chef and challenge judge. “Lisa and Rosco’s Lando’s Meatballs & Chorizo Pasta really hit the brief. It’s packed with flavour, feels like the kind of meal you actually want to sit down to after a big day, and most importantly, it delivered when the pressure was on.” It is the kind of meal that makes sense in the world of The Block, where contestants are regularly eating around renovation schedules, long days and whatever time they can find between jobs. Youfoodz has been the official meal partner of The Block throughout 2026, fuelling contestants with 6,000 meals across fridges, microwaves and vans as they work through the long days and tight timelines of life on site. Lando’s Meatballs & Chorizo Pasta with Tomato Capsicum Sauce will be available for a limited time from October 15. Find more food and drink news on Crumb Wire.

Nth Degree Club brings its private dining membership to Australia

Nth Degree Club is bringing its private dining membership model to Australia, offering access to restaurant experiences, events and member introductions for $2,250 a year. Founded in London in 2013 by hospitality figure Robert Walton MBE, the club has built its community around food, hospitality, travel and shared experiences, with members meeting through private dinners and events rather than traditional business networking. The Australian chapter is being led by founding partner Carly Falconer, with membership providing access to the club’s programme of private dining experiences, events, introductions and the wider Nth Degree community. “Food has always been one of the most natural ways to bring people together,” said Falconer. “Nth Degree is about creating the opportunity to meet interesting people in beautiful settings, share a great meal and have conversations that continue long after lunch is over. We want to build a community in Australia that feels genuine and enjoyable, not transactional.” The club works with chefs, restaurants, producers, wine partners and hospitality personalities across both intimate dining experiences and larger events, giving members a more personal way into food and hospitality than a standard networking calendar. Members also receive reciprocal access to Nth Degree’s London community. Nth Degree Club Australia officially launched in Sydney on October 8, with its inaugural gathering held at Icebergs Dining Room & Bar in Bondi. “At Icebergs, we believe that a memorable dining experience is about the whole occasion, the food, the setting and the people around the table,” said Brittany Smith of Icebergs Dining Room & Bar. “Bringing a diverse group together through a shared appreciation of hospitality and good conversation is a wonderful fit for what we do. It was a pleasure to welcome Nth Degree Club Australia and be part of its launch in such a special Sydney setting.” Source: Doyen PR Find more dining out updates on Crumb Wire.

Jack Daniel’s is turning Sydney Harbour into a honky tonk

Jack Daniel’s is bringing a little Tennessee magic to Sydney Harbour, turning the Sydney Showboats paddlewheeler into a floating honky tonk for one night only. Jack’s Southern Harbour Hoedown will take over the harbour on November 12, with a three-hour cruise serving up live country music, line dancing, Southern-inspired flavours and sunset views across Sydney. The event arrives as cowboy boots, country playlists and line dancing continue to edge further into Australian nightlife, and Jack Daniel’s is clearly happy to meet the moment. Sydney Saddle Club will be on board, running two beginner-friendly line-dancing sessions, so guests can have a go even if their knowledge of the steps begins and ends with watching other people do them. Those less inclined to hit the floor can stick to the music, food and harbour views instead. The night also marks the national launch of Jack Daniel’s Southern Lemonade and Southern Peach, two new 4.8% ABV premixes made with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. Southern Lemonade has a crisp, zesty lemon flavour, while Southern Peach is smoother and fruitier with subtle whiskey notes. “We’ve brought Jack Southern Lemonade and Southern Peach to Australia, so naturally, we thought we’d bring a little Southern hospitality along with them,” said Jack O’Neill, Senior Brand Manager, Jack Daniel’s Australia. “For us, Southern hospitality is pretty simple: make everyone feel welcome, pour something good and give people a reason to stick around. We wanted to bring a little of that Lynchburg spirit to Aus, and that’s exactly what Jack’s Southern Harbour Hoedown is all about. One night on Sydney Harbour, plenty of good music, food, a little line dancing and, of course, a Jack or two shared with good company. “Whether you know your line-dancing steps or have two left boots, everyone’s welcome. We’ll see you on the water,” O’Neill added. Tickets for Jack’s Southern Harbour Hoedown are available now in limited numbers for $40 via Eventbrite. South Australia scores 11 Michelin stars in Australian first

South Australia has officially joined the global Michelin Guide map, marking the Guide’s first-ever expansion into Australia. The Michelin Guide South Australia 2027 recognises 77 restaurants across the state, celebrating their craft, creativity and distinct sense of place. After months of anonymous inspections, the Michelin Guide has awarded one Adelaide restaurant, Magill Estate Restaurant, Two Michelin Stars. Ten restaurants have received One Michelin Star, 16 have been recognised with a Bib Gourmand for offering good food at great value and a further 50 are included in the Michelin Selected category. Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide, said, “South Australia’s debut has been very impressive. It speaks to a food culture of real depth, where exceptional produce, skilled chefs and an unmistakable sense of place come together. “What struck our Inspectors was the sheer diversity on display – European, Southeast Asian and Japanese traditions sitting naturally alongside native ingredients such as quandong, lemon myrtle and native Australian meats, never as novelty, but as an honest expression of place. “From Adelaide’s easy-going dining rooms to the restaurants within wineries of the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, and Adelaide Hills, fire is the thread that runs through it all – wood and charcoal used not as a trend, but as a technique that lets exceptional local produce speak for itself. “It is a food culture unburdened by rigid tradition, and all the more distinctive for it – technically refined yet relaxed, generous and unmistakably South Australian in its warmth.” Magill Estate Restaurant awarded Two Michelin Stars The sole recipient of Two Michelin Stars in the first South Australian edition is Magill Estate Restaurant, led by Chef Scott Huggins. Sitting at the base of the Adelaide Hills and overlooking the vineyards of the Penfolds winery, the restaurant pairs Australian produce with precise technique across a 10-course tasting menu, which may feature dishes such as sea urchin with snow peas and tarragon or spring lamb Wellington with kohlrabi. Service is warm and engaging, while wine is naturally a major part of the experience, with the Icon pairing showcasing the breadth of local winemakers. 10 restaurants receive One Michelin Star Inspectors awarded One Michelin Star to the following restaurants: Anvers Restaurant: In the Adelaide Hills countryside, the panoramic views are almost worth the trip alone. Chef Connor Bishop’s creative Long Story menu tells a story of modern Australian cooking, with Paroo kangaroo, Murray cod and flavourful damper bread taking centre stage, all paired with Anvers wines. Aptos: Set inside a fully renovated former church, Chef Justin James serves a creative, product-focused tasting menu over more than three hours and across three different rooms, with native Australian ingredients in the spotlight. arkhé: Located on The Parade in Norwood, the restaurant starts with cocktails at the bar before diners can take a seat at the counter, where Chef Jake Kellie and his team cook over an open fire. Dishes include Peking duck wontons with smoked duck broth and Eyrewoolf abalone. Aurora at ILA: On the ground floor of the ILA Visual Arts Museum, Aurora serves modern Australian food with global influences, with plenty of cooking over open flame. Seasonal produce drives the menu and both meat and vegetable dishes are handled with depth and precision, while the vegetarian options are given just as much consideration. Skillogalee Barrel House: Surrounded by the rolling hills and vineyards of the Clare Valley, Skillogalee Barrel House offers a distinctly regional dining experience shaped by the area around it. The kitchen works closely with local farmers and estate-grown ingredients to create contemporary Australian dishes. Botanic: Set within a former teahouse dating back to the 1800s, Chef Jamie Musgrave’s tasting menu is dedicated to showcasing some of Australia’s best ingredients. Esmay: Inside the Hackney Hotel, Esmay’s bright dining room has a relaxed, convivial feel, with counter seats giving diners a front-row spot near the chefs. Chef Alanna Sapwell follows the seasons while bringing plenty of playfulness and her own perspective to dishes, including calamari with kohlrabi seasoned with fish sauce. Hentley Farm: Set among the rolling hills of the Barossa Valley, Hentley Farm occupies a former barn where diners walk through the kitchen on the way to their table. Chef Kyle Johns’ Discovery Tasting Menu follows the seasons, with dishes such as flash-fried abalone over creamy tomato rice and tender pork with fermented blueberry jus. LVN Restaurant at Bird in Hand: Sitting within Bird in Hand Winery in the Adelaide Hills, LVN, named using the initials of the owner’s daughter, looks out over the surrounding landscape from a dining room filled with contemporary art. Open for lunch only, the restaurant serves a tasting menu from Chef Jacob Davey using high-quality ingredients, including vegetables from the onsite garden and nearby farms. Everything is cooked over live fire in the open kitchen. Maxwell Restaurant: Inspired by McLaren Vale’s four seasons, Chef Fabian Lehmann oversees a creative tasting menu at Maxwell Restaurant above the family-owned vineyard. Lehmann brings together his experiences in Europe and the Nordics with high-quality produce, resulting in dishes such as mussels with apple concassé, fennel and curry-flavoured mayonnaise or marron with chilli bisque. 16 restaurants awarded Bib Gourmand for good quality cooking at great value The Bib Gourmand highlights restaurants where diners can find high-quality, thoughtful cooking at more approachable prices, with recipients spread across South Australia. Aperol bottles the full Spritz for Australian summer

Aperol is taking one more job off the summer host’s list with a new 750ml bottle that already has the Aperol, prosecco and soda mixed in. Australia is the first market to be getting the ready-to-serve bottle, which pours with the same bittersweet flavour and bright orange colour people have come to expect from the classic spritz, with a simple orange slice garnish to seal the deal, of course. The larger format is designed to share, which works well for the kind of get-togethers Aperol has become closely associated with. Instead of mixing individual drinks, hosts can pour straight from the bottle for parties, bigger gatherings, balcony drinks, dinner with friends or a Sunday catch-up. “Australians have truly embraced the Aperol Spritz and the social occasions that come with it,” said Jacopo Borsa, Managing Director, Campari Group Australia. “With our new Aperol Spritz 750ml bottle, we’re making it easier than ever to enjoy those moments at home. It’s ready to pop whenever friends pop by, delivering the iconic Aperol Spritz experience in a format that’s convenient, shareable and perfect for spontaneous get-togethers.” The convenience of it all comes at a great time as more Australians continue to opt for spritzes. Not to mention the uptick in Ready-to-Drink (RTD) purchases among the younger cohort. The spritz category has grown 49% in dollar value year on year, and the drink has moved well past being something ordered only when the weather warms up. Spritzes now show up across daytime social occasions, casual entertaining and group catch-ups, while Aperol Spritz itself has become a familiar order in bars and restaurants around the country. The 750ml bottle takes that same serve out of hospitality and into the fridge at home, keeping the flavour profile intact without asking anyone to measure Aperol, top with prosecco and finish with soda one glass at a time. The launch also reflects a broader appetite for premium drinks that are easier to serve at home, particularly when entertaining is more spontaneous than planned. The Aperol Spritz 750ml bottle is available nationally from October 7 and can be found in the wine fridge at bottle shops for RRP $30. Source: Omnicom Find more food retail updates on Crumb Wire.
